Planning on getting all new Poly bushes for the anti roll bars.

But before I do, how much do they affect the ride quality?

Silver 2004 MR2 -  Unmodified but very shiny.

No negative effect on ride quality at all, just sharper turn in & stability.
One of the biggest bang for buck modifications for any car in my opinion.

I am going to be fitting uprated whiteline ARBs which have poly bushes - probably worth upgrading those as well whilst you are in there.

Is that just from new bushes, or a stiffer ARB?

Just new bushes.
Obviously stiffer bars will help as well but there's quite a price difference between a set of bushes & uprating the whole setup.

Depends how far you want to go really; Standard car/general B road blasting just stick with bush upgrade, higher power/higher speed track work then stiffer bars will aid high speed stability & composure.
