New spark plugs

After the oil contamination issue I have recently had, I decided to get some new spark plugs as it couldn't hurt to swop the existing ones out as they looked pretty dodgy TBH.

I tried these people -  m http://spark-plugs.co.uk m  and I have to say the service was excellent, with the plugs arriving the day after I placed the order and feedback was given in the form of emails from start to finish.

I have since been in touch with them and they are prepared to offer a discount of between 15~25% off - we would need to order a minimum of 10 sets. Anyone interested?

So which plugs did you get? Stocks or something special?
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

Basically they are stock plugs but ungapped and a range colder - NGK BK6RE IIRC.

FWIW I'm running 'standard' copper NGK plugs in my Roadster with the PE turbo kit, after having used them successfully in my Mk2 turbo for many years. The specific ones I'm using are :

BKR6EYA-11 NGK stock 4073 ( costing £1.56 ea inc VAT ) from my local NGK distributor.

Note they come with a 1.1mm gap as standard - you will need to close this down to 0.8mm (as per eg the Mk2 Turbos) and that works well. I'll leave them in there for ~10k miles and then replace them.

The site  m http://spark-plugs.co.uk m  does have good information, but the plugs from there aren't cheap at all - note they're wanting nearly £1 more per plug than a local NGK distributor would charge you.

A Group buy on locally sourced parts would be a plan. If you've got trouble locating a NGK dealer, I don't mind sourcing a few sets and posting them to people in exchange for a suitable number of beer tokens  s:) :) s:)
