Title: Seat Covers
Post by: MRSwede on August 20, 2023, 13:21
Hi!

It's time to renew the seats in my Fl.
Are there a difference between the Pfl-Fl seats in shape except the hole on the fl seat's ?
Thinking if there was possible to buy Pfl covers and put on my Fl seats.
I newer liked the draft that are coming from that hole, i have a pice off foam there now, but would like to put it inside and cover it with the new seat covers.

Dean at Rutland MR2 (no longer in business) used to say that the PFL leather seats were much better quality leather.  I'm not even  sure if PFL covers will fit properly on the FL frame??

Maybe just see what the breakers have for sale?

That's is the problem here, there are 297 MR2-S in Sweden, and the few breakers that have parts for sale are pricing them as they were made of gold.  :'(
So sadly new covers or completely different seats that are not oem.

It might be worth asking J-Spec to ship a pair.  They are mustard at shipping stuff.

@MRSwede

I would also enquire with you local auto upholsterer.
They can fill the hole and sort a cover no bother.

I used to fit the seat covers for MR2s when I worked at Portbury Docks.

All UK cars with leather started their lives with cloth in Japan when built.
