Post by: MRSwede on February 18, 2024, 13:23
How much movement should there be on piston when pulling the parking brake crank.

Noticeable, and not at all stiff.

I have refurbished it.
Everything inside is new and getting 2mm movement on the piston.
To me it seems to be a little bit to short movement, but maybe that is god enough ?

How much do feel there should be?

Consider the pads should have an interference with the disc to begin with.
There should not be any gaps to close up before pressure is applied from the pad to the disc.

I have not mounted it on the car yet.
I don't really know what i expected.
Refurbished a Skoda rear caliper some years ago, and had some vague memory that the movement was more noticeable, but that can be wrong  ;D
