1. Where'd the emanage come from? Another MR2?
2. Guessing you tried with the injectors set to 170? Unless you have 320s of course. Even then it should still fire at least, fumble and die.
3. What kind of wiring? Boomslang or self-wired?

@furbern

Having replaced the rear calipers on my car and refitted the part worn discs and pads and subsequently done not a lot of miles but passed two MOT's I suggest that the your part worn pads are not the cause of your problem.
You will be aware that disc brakes are self adjusting so the state of wear, within limits, should not adversely affect the system.

Thanks very much, I have read it actually and my car does have the MGTF gaiters fitted. A couple of years ago one of the calipers seized. I bought rebuild kits and rebuilt the rear calipers(not the first calipers I had rebuilt), however once back on the car I couldn't get the handbrake to adjust up. So I bought 2 new calipers, and they were OK but it looks like one of those has stuck now (I don't do a lot of miles in it). One thing I have read and it may account for my failure to get the original calipers to work is that the auto adjust can't work if there is more than 1mm clearance ie slack on the pads. When I did the rebuild I wound the caliper pistons all the way back, but the pads weren't new as they and the discs were only slightly worn. I am wondering if that might account for the problems on the original calipers, ie the pads might have been too slack. I have yet to investigate the current problem. But the design is just awful. I have a 2009 Ford also with the handbrake on the rear discs - it has always held on my drive which is 1 in 5, no problem.

having an issue connecting a Virtualbox Win98 to the laptop.

background is an old Win 7 laptop (which runs well) with Virtualbox and Win 98 running.
Had issues trying to get it to see the USB (which IT at work fixed)

Plugged it in, opened a blank map with injectors changed to 320cc to get it started.
Everything looked good, Greddy software said online so saved and tried to fire it - nothing!

Noticed a lot of things were now greyed out including settings (which I'd previously used to change the injector size)

Anyway got home and the software still says online and everything is greyed out (pic attached)

Any ideas - possibly one for @shnazzle

Next one is to clean the laptop and load win 98 onto it

I do have a vid but can't upload it - I'll have a look (I am a bit technologically retarded at times)

You cannot view this attachment.

Great work! Fantastic to see all of the effort put into this!

Random question - how is the throttle cable linked to the K20a2 throttle cam (the one with the spring that you blip to raise the revs)?

I just removed the TB on my own K20 MR2 and cleaned the IACV and calibrated the TPS, put it back on and realised the end of the cable doesn't fit! If you have a better solution then it'd save me removing it all again to drill a larger hole!

I´d think twice about lowering and méasure the space the tyres have three times (vs the inner edge of the wheel arches and do not forget the inner splash guard  protrusions ).

On real world roads both the OEM ground clearance and tyre clearance are not overly ample imo.
Secondly lower springs = stiffer springs and weirdly enough the after market lowering springs do not have the same front vs rear spring rate balance as TRD ones.  And this doés affect handling!

Since in the UK it is not much of a challenge to find custom spring manufacturers at reasonable money I´d look at thát.
Go mínimally lower if you must, thus ditto stiffer and dó keep the OEM/TRD front/rear spring rate balance in the picture.

Bronze on black is as good as it gets IMHO.

I ran Tein springs on my car with Koni adjustable s it was brilliant all rounder, not too low and with the improved damper handling and ride were much improved, tried on stock dampers first but felt a bit underdamped.
