Title: Handbrake sticks on N/S
Post by: Anonymous on July 29, 2006, 13:15
When the car warms up i have noticed that the hand brake on the pasenger side has problems with letting go. when it's warm and i pull off i can hear it squeaking till about 15mph. have found that when i've used the hand brake it sometimes helps to "pump" the handle up and down a few times and the squeak doesnt happen sometimes. it never squeaks/rubs when it's cold.
I've had the wheel off when it was cold and everything seems to be working fine though. i wonder if it semi seizes when it gets warm??

I've searched and found this  m http://www.mr2roc.org/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... =handbrake (http://www.mr2roc.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10285&highlight=handbrake) m

What do i have to do to service/clean it? i've attacked it with WD40 and a wire brush already.
