Title: 1991 J Reg Immobiliser problem
Post by: Anonymous on May 28, 2008, 18:24
Just bought a J reg Mr2 at a car market in Glasgow.
Went to pick it up and it won't start, BLAST.
Battery was flat as they had to jump start with the Battery trolly.
Ran through no problem, about 3 hours later I went to pick it up and in won't start.
Got a shot of their Battery trolly again and the red light on ther dash flashes all the time and won't turn over.
Tryed disconnecting battery completely leaving off for approx 10 mins and reconnecting , no change.
immobiliser is a barrel type with a small reader thing on the dash.

Do you have to learn the barrel fob into the system if the battery goes flat or is their a way to override it temp.
Auctiion might get a bit shitty if I don't take it away.

Promt responses appreciated.

Regards

Cammie

Hey fella...there may be someone on here who can help but this is a Mk3 MR2 club and you'll have a Mk2 there.  You would be better off on MR2OC or twobrutal!!!
