Title: Warning KG03NVX back on the road
Post by: SteveJ on February 2, 2004, 13:33
Quick warning to everyone here -  Toyota have now 'repaired' the faulty brakes on my old '2 and have it up for sale (they won't tell me which dealer is selling it though). Given it has taken them 9months in total, I'm not convinced.

If you see anyone driving it, I would suggest 2 things :-

1) Don't brake suddenly in front of them

2) Advise them to find a quiet stretch of road and test the ABS works (without locking up the rear wheels)

How did you find out that they are selling it?

They started getting agitated about getting the bits back that they had left in my new car (glove box, stereo & cup holder). They should have removed them prior to delivery, as I kept the Sony stereo from the old car, and the glove box & cup holders had been butchered by me to fit different bits. In one of the conversations it was mentioned that they were waiting to sell the car.

Suffice to say they had to wait a while to get their bits back  s:twisted:  s:twisted:
