Title: Power Steering Fluid?
Post by: Anonymous on February 17, 2004, 23:15
On the underside of my front bonnet is a sticker that reads:

NOTICE CHECKING POWER STEERING FLUIDCheck the fluid in the reservior tank located behind the radiator, beside the spare tyre.

I could just be being really thick, but after 10 months of looking I'm going to have to give up and admit I still can't find it!    s:( :( s:(

Is it hidden under the plastic cover? (have to admit I've not bothered taking it off just to check).

Thanks   s:D :D s:D

In my defence I have to question:

1. Why they didn't make it accessible via a cut-out in the same way as the brake fluid?

2. Why the sticker describes it location but doesn't mention you can't actually get to it without removing the whole cover?

Second question is does anyone else bother checking it between services? If so how often?

Snigger... Front bonnet!    s:lol:  s:lol:

I have to say that I've always wondered where the reservoir was too - cheers for clearing that up! I agree, seems crazy to have it under the plastic cover - needless to say I haven't checked mine once between services!   s:oops:  s:oops:
