Title: Knocking Sound when the gear shift from second to first
Post by: Anonymous on February 24, 2012, 04:01
There is knocking sound when my YR 2003 SMT shift from second gear to first gear while I going to stop for traffic light or slow down for bump, parking or something else. A mechanic told me the engine mounting cause that kind of sound and some told me might be the clutch issue. Is anyone here may provide me some advises as I'm worry that will harm my transmission or engine. Thank You

I'm no expert with SMT, it could be what your mechanic suggests, has anyone actually checked the engine mounts to see if they're ok?

There's loads of information here too if you want to search through for answers;
