I decided to clean the MAF and reset the ECU on Weds. There was a definite improvement, and I must remember to do it more regularly!
But the unexpected bonus was that my SMT gear-changes have improved too! s:D :D s:D After the last service (Jan) I noticed an improvement with the SMT, but lately the change into 5th had become very slow, and the change from 3rd to 2nd to 1st when slowing to a stop had been a bit clonky. I'd been thinking about a trip to Mr T. But the MAF clean/ECU reset has cured the problem!! I imagine that it can now match the revs more accurately when changing gear(?)
sounds feasible to me and definately something I'll have to remember to try on mine in a few months...
