Looks very nice. I was looking for a TF300 before buying the "Goddess". I have tried to pull together info concerning the TF300's as the original Toyota list seems to have disappeared. If you post or pm me the VIN, Reg and engine number I will add those details to the list. Greg

Let the spending commence :)

A nice blue example, I guess you will be keeping the hard top as less opportunity to sell than a black top.
That means you'll have to find extra funds from elsewhere to buy all the goodies this lot on here will be encouraging you to buy.

Keeping it standard as much as possible tbh. The hardtop will be staying, I was in two minds wether to pay the extra for it, but so glad I did now.

Just done a nice 2 hour blast up the motorway to get home and was nice, enjoyable drive 👍

Shiny!! Did you get all the extra badges as well, just in case you want to put them on?
By the way take the precat comments on Facebook with a pinch of salt, there's a lot of people on those groups that only know half a story.

A valued addition to the "hardtop cognoscenti" 8)

Yeh I had read up on pre cats on here and was sure that the later engines were sorted for that issue, however always happy to learn of other people's experiences.

No extra badges, don't think so anyway.

But FSH lots of receipts, including original dealer paperwork and invoice. Three former owners and it's on 55k.

Only things I may do is possible head unit upgrade, and led bulbs 🤔

It was the comment about the precats destroying engines that's a bit of a fallacy but you've already read the files so we'll not go through it again here on your thread.

The TFs came with some unique badges on the rear bumper and the frunk lid, I see someone has debadged the rear but it's worth asking if the original badge is included in case you want it for the future.

When I picked up my sexy little midlife crisis mistress in Oct, I was wearing rose tinted glasses....I did notice the smashed fogs, but didn't notice rotted radiator. I did notice manky alloys but didn't feel the shot original front springs. I did notice tiny tear in red edition roof but didn't check sodden rear cupboards due to blocked up hood drain holes below roof frame mechanism. Tell us how good she really is in the cold sober light of Sunday morning!!

I bought a 55k 06 plate fsh with hardtop from a dealer. Had stacks of bills brochure original bill of sale etc etc etc

Still had duff radiator duff crossmember and duff handbrake none of which the dealer would do anything about.

Not to say that there are any issues with your car but mileage and paperwork don't really mean much. And don't get me started on main dealers.

Not really no, I know the previous owner, and I know when and where its been serviced and maintained.

I have details of previous owner, and one before, so I know that information.

Sorry that you had issues buying from a dealer, but that is the risk you take when they only care about profit and aren't interested in the actual car.

oh and by the way, I wouldn't have accepted them not sorting the car if it was as bad as you say.

To redress the balance.

The good news here is, even when things do need doing. They are affordable.
New rad £30
New roof a couple of hundred
Sub frame couple of hundred.

Rest assured, it is not long before wanting to spend, rather than having too, takes over.

Normal caveats aside.
I am leaning towards get something that requires some work and do it. That way you know its done.
Tyres, roof, sub frame, fresh brakes, fresh suspenders. Theres not a lot else to do other than enjoy it.

To be totally transparent I discovered these issues over several months and then fitted a turbo kit so couldn't really take it back.

Top tip.

Get that hard top off and let it breathe.
Practice raising and lowering. (in that order)

I imagine it is a canvaseque material.

Superb for dropping in an instant. Drop windows an inch prior to stopping at Red light. Click - click - nonchalantly drop - drive off.
I will donate a £10 to the club if anyone can show me an automated roof that drops as fast as canvas 2 roof.
