Title: 76mm (3”) reduction to 2.5” for exhaust?
Post by: jvanzyl on May 16, 2022, 22:57
So my turbo has a 3" v-band for the outlet.. current exhaust is 2.25"

I'm assuming the best thing is to run 3" continuously from the turbo outlet, through the cat and into the Muffler? And not to reduce it any where etc?

Depends on the size of the turbo, amongst other factors.

Yours is a simple question, but the answer cannot be such.

Having just rigged up a 3" on mine for testing it was bloody loud!

Gone straight back to 2.5"

Out of curiosity have you actually measured the size of the opening? The 3 inch could refer to the size of the clamp, it might be a 2.5 inch opening.
