Title: Wrapping a Sports Cat
Post by: andyroo104 on October 23, 2022, 00:54
Looking for some advice, i am looking to install a 200 cell sports cat on my mr2 and when searching online there are various posts advising that a sports cat should not be wrapped with material touching the surface and heat shields only.
Has anyone wrapped a sports cat with titanium wrap and had problems or would i be better to leave it unwrapped ?
Many thanks.

I did it.  It seemed to be just fine.  There's a lot of 'opinions' on exhaust wrapping..  Mostly 'knowledge' picked up from one and passed onto another like Chinese whispers.

The hotter a cat is, the better it performs.  200 cell sports cats do struggle to pass emissions testing, though.

I was debating with myself whether to wrap or not. I ended up doing it, reading about the emission testing.
