Title: Rust be the season
Post by: jvanzyl on November 14, 2022, 22:45
So tis the season it seems..
in doing a good job of cleaning the car before putting the carpet in I noticed this:

Oh I thought... let me scuff back the rust, treat it and move on... famous last flipping words..

So... I guess the plan is to cut a small square hole, cut a new piece to fill it and then start to weld and grind etc till it looks good?

Might need to sorn it and do the turbo at the same time..

Yup.. that's why there's a hole there now... I think there is a decent argument for if I'd just left it I could have gotten a couple of years down the line or more before I noticed anything...
