Title: Toyota have admitted it
Post by: Anonymous on June 23, 2005, 00:10
I would like all you guys to know that Toyota have an unofficial extended warranty for 5 years or 100,000 miles, provided you can produce full sevice history.
I bought my car with full service history but never received the documents, so when I was hit with the precat failure I wrote to Toyota who admited they had a problem with 3 or 4 cars and provided I could get the service history they would sort it out for me.  But my faith in the 2 was gone   s:( :( s:(   so instead I forced my hand and got the dealer to do a deal on another car for me.

Anyway chaps there is a silver 2 with hartop, spoiler and black leather seats out there needing a new engine - it still drives over the speed limit though, but failed it's mot, reg W561 YSB.  I was told it would go to a market but have a feeling it will be fixed and sold on maybe down south.

I have heard that as of next year the MR2 and Celica will no longer be in production, so it would be a really nice wee example to keep.

See ya all soon
