Title: A few suspension-related questions...
Post by: fstsven on November 1, 2005, 08:51
My '2 has done 80000kms (app.50000mls) by now. For your info, it still has stock dampers and is fitted with APEX lowering springs. Sometimes I  have the feeling it is getting a tad "floaty". however, on other occasions it still seems pretty tightly controlled, even fidgetty over small irregularities. I'm starting to wonder if it is just me, depending on my mood?   s:? :? s:?
Does this car have telltale signs that the dampers are on their way out?
Can anyone comment on the average mileage at which the dampers are changed?  And if I decide to change them, should I change the "bushes" as well (and what are they exactly, what is the approximate cost?)
I have heard suspension bushes should be changed at 60000mls, so it might be better to get it done all at once, no?
Thanks in advance!
