Hi,

As a necomer to the Roadster, yes I have the rattle - mine comes from behind when the soft top is stored and the hardtop is on - are there any fittings or things I should know of to secure the soft top when down and hardtop up?

Need to have advice on best brake pads, caliper paint, any product to erradicate or disguise scratches (metalic paint).  Information about the exhaust - remus back box fitted (twin exhaust) obviously stainless steel but does the exhaust come as one or in parts (i.e. front middle and back box?)

MR2 seat belt pads (with MR2 on or roadster).  Decent priced alloys or discontinued stock (sale items or used apart from ebay!)

Many thanks for reading!

Silly question. but I guess you have checked the hard top latches behind the seats.  Maybe the latch was either not done up or needs adjustment.

Unlike the soft top, the hard top has 4 latches. Otherwise, maybe the power cable for the rear heater isnt stored correctly or the panel in the luggage area was not correctly refitted. Cant think of any other causes.

Yeah, I have a slight rattle when the hard top's on. No idea what it is.

But the question is: WHY HAVE YOU GOT THE HARD TOP ON?  s:shock:  s:shock:    s:shock:  s:shock:    s:lol:  s:lol:

Head down to Halfords for the caliper paint and to be honest for most driving the stock pads are the best pads.

Try reaching behind and under the roof when folded and flicking the latches to the close position. I always leave mine open when folding the roof away during summer use but found that they seemed to account for a slight rattle with the HT on as it went away when they were closed when stowed.

Alternatively it could be the Pull handle facia which can rattle. Go to Spyderchat (not the forum) and there is a FAQ with info on it.

Re: pads I have Yoko ones as they went with the fact that my 2 is shod with the stock Yokohamas but there is usually a selection on eBay. Excuse the badly focused photo.
