I like the idea of having a journal on line for the bits and bobs I do to my 2 over time.

Since I got mine at the end of October 2021 I have changed the alloys too black ones, two new tyres, full service, discs and pads front and back, TTE fuel cap ring, one of Carolyynes strut braces, FL side vents and Sunday just gone a TTE banana spoiler (love it).

Today I fitted a Scorpion gear knob that my wife bought me from Australia in the 90s, nothing wrong with the original gear knob in fact I really like it but I do like the Scorpion and I havent had it on a car for the last 20 years so I thought why not on my fun car ? :)

I had to make an adapter as the Scorpion had just a large plain hole in it (no thread) and I needed the spacer at the bottom to fill the gap between the knob and the cover.

Turned out ok and I like it, not a super technical upgrade but made me happy :).

Cool!
I have the scorpion tattoo on my left wrist!

That spacer is something we used to have for sale on the forum before, but quite frankly yours looks a bit more on-point.
I'd hide that because people will be banging down your door for that

Very nice progress for a new owner and cool to see an owner make bespoke parts for their car.

I will take one of those spacers please Tiger. I really don't like the gap between the knob and boot.  ;D

I have a small piece of stainless 316 knocking about which should be ideal, I will check.

I took mine out for a run yesterday and I have to say this knob is a pleasure to use :)

I have just checked and I have small piece of 316 which should just be enough.

What size is the boss under your gear knob ? red arrow.

The gaiter boss is just over 34mm, purple arrow.

Oh I was being cheeky really. But if you can, my spacer is 15mm and the distance between gator and bottom of knob is about 20mm.

Being as you are in possession of the shocks. Take a few mins just to prime them.
Just in case the tech/mech might forget.

Critical? Maybe not. Desirable? certainly.
Just fully compress the shock, you will feel what I am talking about. 4 or 5 compressions should sort out the gases.
You will "feel" it, as you do it.

Advice given to me from a Toyota trained Master Technician.
