Hello everyone!
My name is Vasilis and I'm new here, I'm 23 years old and I own an 8M6 blue 2000 Toyota MR2 Roadster, I bought it back in November of 2021 and I absolutely love that car, I found out about this group from Spyder chat that I'm also a member of since almost the first day I got my Roadster, so far the car has proven to be very good besides burning oil, on everything else it has been awesome and I feel like it has tons of potential, I mostly drive it on mountain roads since I live near a mountain, it's the first car I bought for myself , I want to keep it forever, restore and build it to be a fast 2ZZ powered touge Monster and also a trackday car,the car wasn't  exactly stock when i got it, it's on lowering springs, has a WRX spoiler , steel braided brake lines and sits on H&R lowering springs, still has the original 1ZZ engine, since I got it I put in a fresh set of tyres (Falken Ziex ZE310s), fixed the exhaust flex pipes that had deteriorated and removed the cat since it was clogged from all the oil the engine was burning and spitting out, now I'm trying to get new performance brake pads, buy a rollbar and buy a proper adjustable suspension, there are tons of other stuff I want to fix/upgrade on the car when I can afford to do it.

Hello and welcome Vasilis.
Good to read of your priorities with a new set of tyres and now looking at brake pads.
The oil burning has been less reported on here in recent times, as you likely know the damage causing that was done in your cars earlier life. With your intention of replacing with a 2zz long term maybe you could start looking for that replacement sooner, rather than later, and if you have the money and the skills do some renovation work on that while your 1zz fades away.
You will likely be aware that the 2zz is not bomb proof, typically coming from another car at the end of it's life, when used / abused in competition and so some pre emptive preparatory work could be beneficial.
Importantly you do seem to be enjoying your car and making plans to enjoy it some more.
Plenty of room on here for your own thread of your work.

My budget is very limited unfortunately at the moment, I've done my study about the 2ZZ of course, also there's a local MR2 Spyder owners club here in Greece that can help me source parts and tell me what shops are good for the swap, the ultimate 2ZZ for me would be one with the swap kit from MWR + a billet oil pump, upgraded valves and springs and a lightweight flywheel, I want it to be able to rev up to 10.000rpm and make power near that rpm range, since I plan to keep it NA , I'm not really looking for high hp numbers that's why I want to NA tune since I love super high revving engines and ITBs, hopefully in the future I'll find a job and I'll be able to afford the very high costs of a build like that.

Buenos Vasilis.

You can add a lót of lightness to your car for free and then more still quite low budget.

Enjoy!!
