Quick question, My unichip has 2 switches, one switches between map A and B, and the other is an on/off switch, if I switch it off will the car stop, or will it run the stock map from the ECU?

if i remember rightly it turns the whole system off and stops it starting, i'll have to try it to confirm though

Yep the on off switch takes power off the main ecu as well.
Good for resetting codes, not so good for driving.   s:lol:  s:lol:

And don't switch the maps while the car is on and running.

Don't you just leave it on map B ?

Depends where the map you want is!

Mine is actually mapped the same on both settings as milway couldn't work out how to set only one map. Don't know if they still have this problem or not.

Yours was a pre-mapped chip matey, here are the results of the dyno as promised:

Here are some more details:

Summary:

Power at flywheel (corrected) 163.4 BHP (DIN 70020)
Power at Flywheel (PWR Wheels+Pwr Loss) 167.4 BHP

POWER AT WHEELS 139.5BHP which is MASSIVE i thought?

Power Loss (tyres etc) (calculated) 27.9 BHP

Barometric PRessure: 1030Mb

I've just checked mine and the muppets who refitted my ICE which had to go back for repair switched the power switch off. They probably though they were something to do with the ICE set up  s:? :? s:?  They also managed to change the sub amp to high pass when it was naturally on low pass so I had to remove all the plastic panels to change back. Total muppets as with all so called specialist ICE companies I have had the good luck to frequent. Morale of the stroy is that I should have put the repaired components back myself  s:cry:  s:cry:

Yes I know but they removed the H/U etc to send away for repair as I don't have a set of pins to get it out and offered to put it back free and said their was a earth problem on one of the maps. They fixed it for free but ballsed up everything else  s:? :? s:?

If I leave the Unichip fitted while the car goes back to Toyota will they be able to tell from the OBD2 port that it has a unichip fitted?
