P1300, P1305, P1310 & P1315 relate to igniter failures on circuit 1,2,3 & 4 respectively.

I suspect all of the codes listed above are related to the wiring loom not being plugged in when the garage tried to start the engine for the first time.

As to the problem you are seing at the moment, I would be suspicious of electrical noise causing it - double check that all of the earth points have been reconnected and that the battery voltage is OK (in particular whilst the car is running).

If the light comes on, but then goes out (assuming you are not switching the ignition off in between) then it is unlikely to be the ECU that is intentionally switching it on.

oh the 13's would relate to the original post.. when he couldnt start the engine..

and i need to check the air flow wire/sensor..

but correct me if im wrong i am still going to get my car mapped and tuned properly, would you recommend this or will it be a waste of money, if i can sort this problem myself?

its probably worth while getting it checked over and tuned as its a new install. Never hurts to have a second opinion on the install

its the mass airflow sensor you need to check, just unplug and check the connector on it. But to be honest i think Seve could be right, check the earths

dont put that in the connector, but if your going to remove the maf and clean the senso as a whole then its the black square blob with a connector entering from ones side that lives in the pipe that goes between the airbox and the throttle body

i cant seem to do any good on here askinga general question re the ECU..

but had it checked today, everything is fine, but the problem still occurs..

The problem is!!! when revving my car upto 5.5k my engine tells my ECU not to do no more!!

so its defo the ECU not wanting more..

how much do you think i should pay for an ECU that corresponds properly?

just as a point Leon, you have had it check by Mr.T?

it could still be the ECU restricting power because of a problem, get the OBD-II read to make sure

not been checked by toyota. but a tuning and mapping specialist.

it is defo the ECU the tuning bloke said.. and it cant be read by one of them things becasue its not reading any propblems. and the light is not staying on!!

i have rung up the bloke selling the engine and he said i can have the ECU that came with it for £100 is that the right move? then gettting it mapped and tuned yet again??

Got to Mr T - they should be able to tell you for sure. Dont know the guy - but I myself have been a bit miffed off with some people in the past with previous cars - who were supposedly 'specialists' the ones who are good, are always busy, and recommended highly.

Go to your local Mr T - and see what they say with the fault finding.

I dont know, give them a ring and find out - its your car, so you know, you should really get a couple of opinions in sorting it out.

you cant, thats the whole reason why the TTET uses a piggy back unit, TMC wouldn't release the programming code for the ECU, are you sure your tuner didn't attempt something and damage the ECU Leon

no the car revs smoother.. and the problem occurs the same as it did before it was tuned today..

just after the 5.5k mark on every gear..

its basically a small jolt and no more revs, and a quick flash with the CEL light..

dont think its a major problem but he says all leads and wires etc are properly working the engine is in good working order, just the ecu not wanting to rev over 5.5k...

If Toyota charge you £50 for the diagnosis, it's worth it. Even if that cost doubles before you even get a chance to fix it at least you'll know what the problem is, and that's half the battle won.

and it wastnt anything else apart from the ECU. so not sure what he has done!!

looks like he has took your money... told you he has tuned it..... and run... s:? :? s:? I would give him a ring and ask for a specific breakdown of exactly what has been done.
