Hi just wondering why people are not just replacing the manifold with a stainless steel one from eBay it's like £130 delivered.
Makes sense don't it or am I missing something?

People are  s:) :) s:)   In fact, the 130 one delivered is the expensive one and not the best one. The 90 quid one is better. But 90 quid is still more than free  s:) :) s:)

But aftermarket manifold is better than de-pre-cat

Not everybody is a born spanner monkey. So having it done with a replacement manifold would cost labour + manifold. Otherwise it would just be labour.

What are the key benefits to removing the precat?

Anywhere is east Scotland that would do it ? And what price? And do I need to purchase any parts whether needed or recommended

Steve, would you be prepared to give a rough idea of cost?

I'd like to have a go myself, but I've seen the state of my manifold bolts and I'm scared I'll do permanent damage.
