So? How did it go? It was either one of the following reasons for the hour between D-Day and me posting this:

1. It went great and you are out blatting round Hertfordshire;

2. It all went bang and you are repeatedly smashing your head into a wall!

I know which option I'd like to pick - so which one was it?  s:wink:  s:wink:    s:P :P s:P

Sounds brilliant Stu, gets me back to thinking along the Turbo lines again.....damn you!! especially as my Boxster has eaten a set of rear tyres in 3 months, is due a large service and a new clutch...ho hum!

You will probably be gone by the time that I am available tomorrow, got to take Mum to the hospital in the morning, call anyway and I will give you a bell to find out where you are when I am free.

And now I'm back home again - why is it that it's physically impossible for me to leave Mark's before 1.30am?

Anyway.. After Stu had his little blat around the countryside (with me following in the Subaru) and stopping at the chippy on the way back for dinner..

Mark and I got to have a go  s;) ;) s;)

Mark drives like a nutcase - but you all knew that already.. but by hell does that thing shift! Every gear is like 1st gear, and the speedo gets up to.. uh.. the speed limit, very quickly indeed.

I thought I took it for a much more sedate drive.. but Stu (who was following in the Subaru) tells me I was going faster than Mark  s:oops:  s:oops:  Sorry Stu!  s;) ;) s;)

I want one.

Now.

 s:) :) s:)

It just feels so right.. neck snapping torque in every gear, but if you're cruising along it's exactly like the standard car just with more power instantly on tap.

I'm in love  s;) ;) s;)

On the downside - my car felt so.. well.. dull on the way home  s:( :( s:(  I mean seriously, it felt like I was driving a Yaris  s:( :( s:(   s:( :( s:(

Did I mention that I want a C2 kit?  s;) ;) s;)

well just to add to teh comments above,

comparing to all of teh Hass kits that I've driven, I have tosay wow

nice job Gas

it's insanely quick at only 5psi, seriously it's quicker than any of teh hass at that boost pressure

has zero lag, idles so much nicer, has a gorgeously purposeful exhaust note that is just right in volume.

I am seriosuly impressed.

not mention that we started off with an airfiltyer making noises like a squrell on acid (Marks impression of said squirel coming up, courtesy of Stus camera soon  :-) :-) :-) )

it's very very nice

need to get mine back on teh road now

Probably the leg irons Aaron  s:wink:  s:wink:  .... or are they over at Dan's place? I forget!

Really really made up for you Stu. Sparing a thought for Lee too - he put a lot into that kit.

It must be good if Mark is impressed. Just to add to what has already been said. Well done to the mechanics involved, enjoy your new car Stu, I still find it hard to go a day without a quick blat around town. Now all we need is that Surrey Turbo meet......Phil

ok heres a few piccies, i've not taken any yet of the completed job as i've been too busy playing  s:twisted:  s:twisted:  but surfice to say as Mark has already said its insanely quick for such a small car. After the first 200miles on boost i've got a small oil wheep on the turbo outlet flange but other than that were good  s:D :D s:D  which is surprising seeing the amount of engineered bodges we put in!!! part of the air inlet tract is actually a can of WD40 and the oil inlet was made out of a union with some liquid metal and a football inflation needle in it and thats not to mention the tin can on the exhaust  s:? :? s:?
all in all the process was about as stressful as it gets but the outcome is stunning, Mark wasn't kidding when he says they'res no lag whatsover, its fast as hell. I've got a CEL at the mo due to an issue with removeing the 1-1 bank o2 sensor but other than that i should be in for some long term boosting.

Looks like you lot did a great job.  Look forward to hearing more about it Stu.

Now here's a question... did you do any research in how much it would cost to get the C2 kit fitted ?  (We don't all have access to a pit and 4 mechanically-minded mates   s:wink:  s:wink:  ) I'm guessing MrT wouldn't do it, but maybe a Jap specialist ?  Like Rogue ?

i personally didn't, as you mentioned i asked a very nice man if i could borrow his garage but i will guarantee that someone like Rogue or 3s will do the install for you. I doubt that SP or Thor will as they have they're own kits though
