battery life????

My car is garaged and I'm not that threatened enough by the thieves to have to have the car alarmed aswell..... I just disconnect the battery and lock the car (and engine popper) .... Ive left it for weeks and the car starts fine when it is awoken from its lair   s:twisted: :twisted: s:twisted:

A mate a work has just got one of these and tested it - on a cloudy day inside the car he was getting about 7ma and with it out of the car he way getting about 20ma.  I see the half price offer runs out on 20th march..
Does it need the cigarette ligher socket to be live then, as you're not trying to power it from there?  Also, being that it connects via crocodile clips, I guess it's not something you could leave permanently attached..
