MOT Time

Just had the cat MOT tested today,,,,,potential fail due to no water in the bottle,,,,,,,,,
Main worry was the guy said it only just passed the emmissions test,,,,,,,He recons a leak on the exhaust or a faulty lamda ?
He put the probe up the right hand pipe and said it failed,,,,,,,put it up the left hand pipe and it only just passes

Any advise  ?

do you have pre-cats?

Most cars without pre-cats will be borderline unless the main cat is properly hot. Idling for a little while isn't really enough to get it to light off properly. A quick blast around the block should see the readings come back into line.
