private sales aside, does anybody know where in the UK sells breast plates for the mr2 roadster?

the only place I can find is japanparts who do the cusco anti flex plate...which isn't really in the UK at all.

I have spent hours looking on google but as there are about a million different names for this mod it's proving difficult. breast plate, anti flex plate, anti skid brace...etc.

aside from corky & cusco, did anybody else ever make one?

I think that's your best bet.

Or get the Cusco through any store that sells japanese stuff in UK.
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

Like Prolex? I've waited for over three weeks to recieve my J-spec nose badge, have currently been waiting for 10 days for a response as to when the hell it will arrive. Three ignored emails so far, I wonder when I will get a response. I have asked him twice if he can sell it and have been ignored both times. Any other stores worth talking to?

They don't make them anymore. So i'm stuck waiting for one to go in the private sales. Who the hell would sell it unless they were upgrading to MSMB or selling their car? It's not like waiting for something rubbish that turns up every three days!

I am currently developing a stiff breast plate. A test one is under fabrication - hopefully finished in the next 2 weeks. Once I have tested it I will put up more details & shall be putting them for sale.

Pretty pic as a 'taster'....

Excuse my ignorance, but where will this go? I assume it tightens the chassis somehow? Will it be a simple bolt on affair?

Where are the holes for the hoses and did you remember to allow for the extra hose clips on the air conditioned cars? Nice project, hope you sell lots of them!

It fits under the centre of the car, a direct bolt-on replacement for flimsy stock braces across the centre tunnel. As the only bracing I have added (yet!) I can definitely recommend it, it really makes the whole car feel more solid.

Viewed from the front of the car, the stock set-up looks like this -

and the Corky's (or similar) looks like this -

See the two side by side and the difference is clear -

Or go the whole hog, a MSMB (breast plate +)

Not sure if they are available new from http://www.3point0racing.com/Braces_MSMB.cfm, but they may become available S/H over here after a few were imported for our GB.

Quite common for cars getting sold to be returned to stock and mods sold on here separately. That's how I got mine, keep your eye on the Private Sales.
