additional servicing

Ive looked in my service book and noticed there is additional servicing requirements that are required to be done at different stages of your cars life eg drive belt @ 4 years or 40,000 miles.

do you have to point these things out to mrT or are they done as part of the normal service depending on the age and mileage of your car??
