I shaved my Kirk

Roger, Steve, Stu, Custard and myself met up a few weeks ago for a bit of tinkering and Rog decided to see what it would be like to shave down the Kirks mountings to reduce the rattle and shake.
after the job was done there was an instant change in the noise and the feeling of the car with what looked like no detrimental effect on the performance.
Anyway to cut a long story short I decided with Custards help to do the same thing as the pull away on my car was horrible with the rattle.

You can see the red eurethane poking out beyond the fittings.
We removed this and the back one and decided to remove some of the EXTRA.

Bit of a rough finish but who is gonna see it?
Back in and slightly smaller!

Must admit the end result is amazing.
Due to the fact that these are designed to reduce the forward/backward motion of the engine and not the side to side, we cant see any issues in doing this, and we also believe that if Kirk was to reduce the amount of resin and maybe level the moulds more this issue would not be there.
So if any of you have Kirks mounts and cant handle the noise or the rattle then this fix is easy and VERY effective!
