No, not a cheap spinoff of the fifth gear tv show...!

Recently....my 2 has been reluctant to go into 2nd gear....it doesnt crunch etc so im hesitant to say it's the syncros, but just occassionally, it doesn't fancy shifting into 2nd as smoothly as the other gears (ie, it take a bit of a pull to move it).

I've yet to check gear oil and the likes, but any other ideas folks?

Have a look at the clutch pedal adjustment How-To on Spyderchat, sounds like similar symptoms.

woth checking teh clutch fluid level on that basis

also check for any gear oil leakage, I made sure it was filled and tight before you collected but just in case

if neither work I;d remove teh centre console and grease teh shifter ball

Mark, do I recall reading the car had a rebuild of the gearbox, or some gearbox issues prior to me taking ownership?

it had a replacement 2nd hand gearbox after my original grenaded yes
