I have recently bought a 2001 mr2 roadster which has badly degraded alloys so looking to refurb. Whilst searching the forum I noticed that 2003> cars have 16" rear wheels compared to the 15" ones on the older models. Can I fit these 16" ones to my 2001 model? Will it provide a benefit or be detrimental to my cars handling?

Newbie looking for some advice, cheers

no mate there fine, look much better as well. make sure you get matching tyres and the correct size thats all.

all the main parts are the same on the suspension between the pre and post facelifts, just a control arm that changed and that makes no difference to what you want to do. As for issues from fitting 16's, do you really think mr.t would have fitted then if there were issues?
