Glad its going well Wills. Interesting to hear what you think of the way it goes and sounds. That's pretty much how it grabs me. Each journey in it is such an event. Trouble is, not many folks would not get it, unless they had driven or been out in one.
It is a superb way to enjoy the Roadster!

Start at around £4.5k for the most basic 1MZ setup.

If you want the LSD transplant, extended 5th gear, Fidanza etc, then your looking at £5.5k.....

You need also to factor in a decent exhaust system: I have the Cobra quad jobbie, which looks / sounds nice!

There are a lot of small custom jobs which Paul does, including  mating your exhaust up to the engine (every one is a custom job, obviously!), etc....

The best value for money swap , V6 wise, now emerging is the 2GR engine that is fitted to the new Lotus Evora. There is a GB going on over on TwoBrutal now to bring over the engine package from the States. I'd be surprised if the whole thing worked out much more than about £6.5K all in. That's worth more than a lot of our Roadsters, but what a car you'd have at the end!
If resale value is a big factor , then something like a turbo install might be better, as the car can be turned back to stock. Nobody has yet to sell a V6 Roadster, so we don't know for sure, but I doubt you'd get a vast premium for it.
( sorry for the slight thread drift here)

I am a fan of the V6 and wouldn't have my car any other way. I think we need some more vid posted , to help get the experience across.  s:) :) s:)

Rogue also do the V6 swap, may be worth looking into it, all the v6's they have done seem to be faultless as well.

Which is the V6 from the lexus 4x4?

[MOD] last post deleted. Unfounded hearsay about the rep of companies or organisations of this sort are not acceptable on our forum for all sorts of legal reasons. I have heard of this sort of thing on another forum and legal action can be taken for libelous remarks, especially those which may be incorrect.

Price out the equation (as its a shit load of money from either to be fair), if you've got good service from somewhere you'll go back. I'm sure thats why we all have our preferred specialists.

If you have the skill set, time and motivation, Littlerocket is working on a v6 DIY swap kit like he did for the 2zz, which would bring the cost down, although f**k that!   s:D :D s:D

The 2g engine is around 2k on its own before shipping and im guessing to get it working in a mk3 will be harder than the current engine selections if anything to go by.

What engine did the GT300 MR-S run? was it a tuned 3sgte?

?

I reckon it could actually be easier as the electronics are of much teh same generation

I thought it would of been harder due to the different electronics having to be sorted to work with it along with clocks ect. Would you use the ecu for it, or would you go stand alone?

roadster is newer than most of the old v6 engines so for example teh 3vz won't talk to our clocks without running both ecus,

2gr probably would

that said if I'd dropping this kinf of money on a V6 I'd go for a standalone ecu and stick a set of ITBs on there anyway  :-) :-) :-)
