If the unit is powering up OK, it would help to get it connected to a laptop and see how the parameters are set. However unlikely, it could be that the unit is not configured for our car, so its worth checking.

Across the range of maps that I've libraried, one of two MAF types is specified, TY-HW2 and TY-HW3. The internal rotary settings are different for each of these - mix them up and the car doesn't like it! (as discovered this weekend   s:oops:  s:oops:  )

Ty-HW2:
 Rotary Sw1 - 4
 Rotary Sw2 - 2
 Rotary Sw3 - 1

Ty-HW3:
 Rotary Sw1 - 4
 Rotary Sw2 - 2
 Rotary Sw3 - 2

Also, for ignition adjustment, you need to have the appropriate jumper setting at 12v rather than 5v. But without hunting for my crib notes I can't remember which jumper it is  s:oops:  s:oops:  Someone else might have this info to-hand.

Don't forget to earth yourself before poking inside the unit.

Well I did the think with the rotating switches and set up the jumpers to the spec on the site.
Telling the emanage I had 2 cylinders was not good for the car.
After fixing this It fired up!
I then took off the battery to dit the bushes, reconnected and NOTHING!

So it proves that it did work, but why now has it decided not to work?

Seems there are no maps on the emanange at this stage.
