Rattles (continued)

Hi all

A while back I posted my findings on a rattling problem I had where I could hear a loud rattling from over my right ear.  It sounded like it was coming from the door (handle or something) and I went bonkers tightening, tying and dampening almost any/everything I could find.

Anyway I was giving the '2' a massive spring clean/polish/hood protection yesterday and even decided to polish those gaps between the rear lights and bodywork (yes I realise that's completely freaky  s:lol: :lol: s:lol:  ).  Upon removal I noticed a lot of white on the side edge of the bumper and found that this was due to the light unit clashing with the bumper itself.  Whilst not the best fix I used some door/window insulator to pad out the seating of the unit so that there was clear daylight between the unit/bumper.

Result: on my commute this morning, silent, rattle free driving   s:D s:D  

So if you're also experiencing an annoying rattle then it might be worth checking your rear light units as they may well be the cause.
