is tte exhaust a performance exhaust????

hi all please excuse my ignorance here but i do not have much of a clue with these cars yet and i am not going to pretend that i do    s:( s:(   so i thaught id ask! i have recently got my 2 and it is fitted with sum tte extras including the tte exhaust. now besides the obvious that it has polished tips and is a dual exit can anyone tell me please wether this would give any kind of performance gains over a mr2 with the normal single exit?? also as i have only ever driven my 2 and in imo it sounds verynice. but does the double exit tte exhaust make any noise difrance to a normal exhaust? or isit just for looks?   s:? :? s:?

looks yes, sound yes, performance. probably not and it's heavier than stock.
