Exhaust Leak! This a bad thing?

Hey I have just confirmed my exhaust is in fact leaking fumes after the O2 sensors but before the silencer. Since it is only a smallish leak will it be fine for the next couple of months or should it be seen to immediatly.

Will it hinder performance?  s:( s:(  
Will it make the exhaust sound raspy, louder?  s:oops: :oops: s:oops:  
Will air be sucked back into the engine rather than exhaust gasses expelled from it?  s:( s:(  

Some help from someone that knows the ins and outs of our engine would be appreciated!  s:D s:D

If this is from a joint, then basically keep an eye on it.If somehow you have a hole it will get bigger.

It won't really hinder performance, not that you will notice anyway
It will sound louder, as/if it gets worse as it's pre silencer it'll get louder, so keep listening
No chance on the third.

From experience now if you have an MOT due most likely to fail on emmissions
