Jinxed??

I hope joining the forum hasn't jinxed my car.
This morning on the way to work my CEL came on. I pulled over to make a quick check and as there were no untoward noises decided to risk it. When I got home at lunch time I connected a code reader which came up with 0141. After a quick search I found its quite a common fault.
A quick phone call to my son in law (who dabbles in electronics) secured me the required resistor which I duly fitted.
I disconnected the battery, removed the left hand rear light cluster (to give me better access), snipped the wires and fitted the resistor as described in the many posts, then refitted the light. After re-connecting the battery I started the engine and hey presto no CEL.
I would just like to say thanks to those who have gone before me to find this work around. I have ordered a new sensor from just lambda's. They do a Bosch direct replacement for £72 delivered so I thought I would give that a go.
