Wheels for performance

As promised standard wheel weights on the same scales :-

Front is 6.6kg so the OZ saves 900g per wheel



Rear is 8.6Kg so the OZ saves1800g per wheel per wheel



Also I think ET37 looks spot on :-

The write up in mr2 was saying about the science and that due to factors what ever weight you save on the wheels you can double as weight off the car.

So that means a loss of 5.4Kg of rotating mass is a 10.8kg loss in terms of performance, not going to set the world on fire  s:D s:D

 s:D s:D   ET37 does sit nicely in the arches doesn't it!
Have you noticed the car feeling wider and the steering slower, it's probably only a slight change of feeling but I noticed it with mine. Nice to have confirmation of the weight of the standard wheels.

Not really the weather to test things  s:) s:)   but its on all the same tyres it was before, just the wider front rim so if anything the stretch of the tyre up front has made it a little more positive.  I've never run the car on standard size tyres only 195/50/15 & 225/45/16.
