Rattle from roof clasp

Mine is more wind noise than rattle I jumped on the thread as it mentioned tension adjustment and yeah done my adjustment the right way

Ive moved the hexagon all the way clockwise, but it still rattles will I need to get a new one ?

Are you sure it's the clasp? I've had an annoying rattle recently and found it was the sunvisor (when down) tapping against the roof.

mine has rattled since i adjusted the clasps but not before.  i only adjusted my clasps as hadnt realised the plastic clip on the window had fell off but if i cover that i dont get any wind noise, stil got to buy a replacement rubber just for that clip grr

This has come back since last adjusting it about 6 months ago. I have altered it again but over bad road it still rattle sometimes. Problem is, although there's still thread to go, the clap is getting very tough to clip in to place and I don't know how to stop the rattle without tightening it up further and it being almost impossible to fasten that clasp...??  Thanks

Cable ties are your friends here. I have resigned to doing that on mine. Cheap and easy to do.  :-) :-) :-)

They hard top clasps? Same applies to the soft top ones on the roof? thanks

mine is rattling still, still one side, wind noise down to plastic cip coming off driver side, some ppl seem to get no noise without i do above 40mph solution £100 weather strip grr.

re to the clasp rattle i read on spyderforums that one guy took it to a dealer and they sprayed some toyota windstop kit whaterver that is however his was under warranty at the time cost was approx $200 which didnt need to pay, he did comment on the excess grease around the clasp so was wondering if maybe applying grease to the clasp mechanism may help?

I did replace it what nightmare .... I had to silcon in the handle ... its great now but never again  s:-( :-( s:-(
