gear change problem okay....

Well finally i think the gear change problem is sorted in cold weather with the sequential gear box, changed gear box oil to  redline mt-90 & so far so good the car is changing gear in cold weather.

Glad you've got it sorted.
The original Toyota blurb did confess that 'in cold weather the SMT could malfunction' but this related to the hydraulic fluid I guess, so you may have found a good compromise fix because the quality of the shift is to an extent dependent upon the quality of the gear oil.
Yet another reason for changing the 'for life' fluids.
Ex.MR2 SMT sadly missed.
