idling speed

Hi All,

I'm currently searching for a good car at around the £2.5k mark and I've driven a few now. The last 2 cars I drove though were a bit shabby tbh, but they both seemed to idle at around 1500 rpm when warm. I'm assuming thats not normal? Is that an issue with o2 sensors or something?

idles around 600-700rpm when warm, 1500rpm when dead cold. Likely the MAF sensor would need a clean.
