Hi Im doing a 2zz swap

I want my car to have a stock feel about it like the 2zz was meant to be there in the first place.

so if I swap out ecu to megasquirt or apexi I will lose my immobilizer and alarm and need to buy anther one eating in to my performance fund   s:scared: :scared: s:scared:

My question is can I get my 2zz ecu to accept my keys and rf signal by getting that part cloned off my 1zz ecu to my 2zz ecu so that it will run a 2zz engine but have my original keys.

Im then planning on using a piggyback ecu.

Best solution I have found so far is to swap celica and MR2 remote transponders from inside of the key plastic bodies, so the MR2 key (with Celica inner transponder) is used to start the car/manual locks/ignition, and the Celica key is used to open the car/disarm alarm from the remote. Have had no luck with reprogramming the alarm but someone here will have done it, or knows if it can be done, but the above will at least get you up and running.

Thanks for your reply. I did think of that but the car is scraped so not an option.

You will have to take the ecu to a specialist to read the eprom from the immo chip then conevrt the code to your chip or buy another ecu that has the origanal keys. There are plenty of breakers on ebay that are breaking Celica 190's

I belive the American ecu didn't have the immobilized.
