2003 - MP3 player / CD changer

I want to attach a MP3 player to the stock 03 head unit - does anyone kno if this connector will work?

no as the 2003 a very limited Aux input and that looks like it will only escept Cd changers of teh pioneer veriaty

I saw a neat MP3 unit on a UK website that attached exactly as CD changer - was quite expensive - about £350, but really good: 20Gb hard drive unit with a display on the harddrive and a remote display/controller that would easilly fit into a DIN size space.

Cannot remeber the website name - google search under MP3 car and UK
It was a high end car audio seller basically - really good site, but expensive.

A solution I saw on Spyder chat was that someone bought a cheap 4 channel amp which had 2 inputs and they just rewired the speakers via. the amp which will obviously improve sound - although you almost may as well change the speakers at the same time as the stock ones are fairly pants - at least in the 2001 model. Then they had an IPOD or similar going into the second input. This is a reasonably cheap alternative if you already have MP3 player as an amp <£50 and if you wnat to upgrade, a set of speakers can be had for £100. Although you'd be better asking Buster or someone for advice on actual speakers/amps

the product is made by panasonic but have  a TOYOTA cd changer input!!! very crafty but they do it to make the most money. I woulnt know how to splice into the cd changer harnse as i have got one on me   s:oops: :oops: s:oops:

I used a Arkon Soundfeeder FM transmitter, tuned through the radio on the TT...hopefully will do the same on the MR2...it does the job very nicely using my iPod.
