The last owner told me it was running 245bhp in his 2 so that what I hope for.  I am in the process of building another engine with billet/ forged parts that will go in the car at the end of the year and the target with that in is 320bhp.

My car is still at the mappers - cannot get it to rev past 5500rpm under load. When out of gear you can blip the throttle and it goes all the way up to the redline no problem?
The mappers have sent a copy of the map off to Link for there opinion - anyone got any ideas.
I posted them a spare CPS I had in the garage to give it a try but all the data in the Link ECU shows the CPS to be working correct.

I had the exact same problem mate. First ever time the engine ran it revved straight through. For me it was the plastic inlet manifold causing all the issues. It would rev past 5500 but it coughed spluttered like hell

What happened with your car? Did it get mapped and running the forged block?

I heard that the car had just come up for sale. Don't think the forged lump was ever fitted

The forged lump is currently still sat in the garage. The car has come up for sale to make way for lets say a compromise of big power and family car.
