Kinda MP&T-related.

Has anyone out there got a 10mm socket with five sides, or a 10mm 10-point impact socket for the lending of?

Perhaps one of you guys running on split rims?

I need to dismantle, clean and reassemble a pooped VVTi unit and shove it back into a spare engine.

Thankee.

Nearly Stu. From that kit I need the shape of the socket but the size of the bit!

Me either. Must've looked at VVTi bolts hundreds of times, but it was only when we came to tackle them we realised that something wasn't quite right   s:? :? s:?

10mm 10-sided socket is a little more common. I believe its used on split rims (somehow!). Its only a punt but I guess it would fit a five-sided bolt head. What do you reckon? Clickety

Some cars have started using 5 sided bolts on the brakes (presumably to stop the home mechanic from having a go). Think they are 14 mm though.

There is a selection on amazon, you might get lucky with a 10mm one.

The part no at the above site is 014710360 and it's £8.82 inc vat.
The site address I gave does not take you straight to the page so use the part no on the site.
As stated by others this is typically for brakes.

That's a similar part to the one I linked to Joe. Ste needs the opposite of that.

Sorry, it has a 1/2 inch drive pin and a 10mm penta socket so not as useful as it would be with a 1/2 inch socket!
