Quote from: "bluesmoke"I'm looking to do a 2ZZ swap myself. I priced up everything from MWR and it came to £1500, that's without the engine, box or ECU. How did you price yours up so cheaply? Would you mind sending me a PM of all the parts you needed and bought as it would help me greatly. I included the PPE header and exhaust with cat when pricing up, as I presumed I would need these?
Quote from: "bluesmoke"Car looks fantastic and must drive brilliantly now s:) s:)
Quote from: "bluesmoke"That's great. I'll go with the MWR header now I have done more reading, as I didn't like the sound of having to plug air injector holes with the header you used.
Quote from: "bluesmoke"My car is an import, but has had an immobiliser fitted at some point. Not sure how this will complicate things. Did you need to use a Celica key at all, with a transponder? Will try and get my hands on the pin outs before buying anything, see if I can be bothered to do that bit myself s:D s:D
Quote from: "george_m"Hi Alexjust spotted your great thread I only live over in Chepstow and only finished my 2ZZ conversion late last year and am just getting it ready to do a track day at Castle Combe very soon. I have only just finished running it in after fully rebuilding the engine and as its not my daily driver it took a while to do the miles . Today I ordered a 4 point rear cage to fit in about 3 weeks time when I am off work as well as a set of toyo R888. I also have the che manifold mated to a twin centre exit Janspeed system I bought off a member and it sounds great and not too loud
Quote from: "bluesmoke"Any tips on how to rebuild a 2zz and the parts needed George? It's the one job I may be too worried to attempt.
