ECU wiring and engine wiring help

Hello

Going to be doing a different engine conversion and need help on the wiring side of things, going to be keeping the oem ecu to run the dials etc and piggybacking the other one on to run the engine.

Engine harness in the bay is it separate from the car loom or one piece? Any help would be appreciated!

I've just done this with my 3SGTE. Two of the 1ZZ ecu plugs go to the car loom and the other two go to the engine loom. There are two other engine loom plugs near the ecu and then it can be removed completely separately.

I then just cut the 4 plugs off the 1ZZ engine loom and wired to my 3SGTE engine loom and ecu.
