Good news
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Got this through the post today

The old filter was getting rather dirty and I was slowly losing psi so it's about time I renew it.

Got some spare time today to play around with the car.

Extended the oil pressure sensor cable to give it more play.

Relocated the bov recirculation pipe.its now run down from the gearbox behind the rear bumper ( just playing around with it till I find the most quietest place to put it without going back into the engine )

Old vs new
It's kinda worrying I haven't done much miles on the car and the old filter look shockingly dirty already.

I adjust the filter a little and now It's sitting about an inch higher from the ground compare to old setup. Will inspect again after 2k miles

Yup their very professional and I'm glad I got it from them instead of hard dog.
Is your feet cage a 90 degree bracket and you got the extra peace welded in? Got any pictures of the installs?  s:D :D s:D
I'm temped to weld it in myself but I'm not a good welder so don't wanna chance it and make it look like a 5 year old who done it lol

Oh, and I forgot to ask, what ECU are you using?

Joints are welded but it bolted on with 4 support legs. More then enough to protect our head from skimming on the floor lol
Cage was brought from Protection and Performance.

I'm using my old ecu and wiring harness from my old celica t sport  ( aem ems series 1 ) old school way

Cool, cheers for the details! I'm using a Syvecs on my 200sx, but there is no chance of being so extravagant with the MR2 (or reason) so in future if I ever do get my rotrex installed I'll need to look at other ECU options.

Keep us informed of progress fitting the cage, looks good from your teaser photos..

Vietts, Patrick fitted my cage last week. The feet were a bit of a pain to get right; but not too bad. There is an explanation from him on my build thread. It's in there now!

Update

Spent the day at Solid Fabrication to get my exhaust a little quieter for track day

The new complete system is a new design compare to the previous setup.this time round we went with 2.5 inch v-band clamp top mount center entry with twin 2 inch silencer insert. The 2 tail pipe is also 2 inch and removable incase I decided to go 2.5 inch exit instead.

The previous setup db was 104 db at standstill and 114! On the fly past

I will edit this post once I get the chance to measure the db on the new system

I'm planning on welding my own cage in but at the moment I'm giving myself some practice first as I don't wanna burn a hole in the car lol. I'll check it out when I get the cage in and see what's need doing

Final tune after a few tweet.
New air filter
Started using tesco ultimate fuel
New twin exit exhaust

I can now say I'm finally done with trying to emprove things on the rotrex kit. Think I'm pushing it a little now lol.

My next job to do will be engine oil cooler...

I'm liking that BHP figure very impressive.
I was thinking that torque seems very low but then thats not what a 2zz is about.
Looking at it another way you making standard 1zz max torque at less than 4k rpm and you've got and 4k to go  s:lol:  s:lol:
Bet it feels proper rapid.
Well done for all your hard work.
