Plug next to alternator?

While doing rust removal and Dinotrol treatment to the rear end i noticed
a female plug end next to the alternator,
Does anyone know what this is for  s:?: :?: s:?:
Slowly replacing all the old parts for new parts so that one day i will end up with a brand new car !   s]

Air-con compressor (assuming you don't have air-con)
