Black 2002 and 2001 MR2 - Tommy Zooms / Hachiroku track car build

HI All

Collected the mr2 from Doug on the weekend, me and tom were both very impressed with the car, he certainly built a very nice mr2.

Took it for a drive up to our usual spots in wales for a good run and was faultless, interesting to compare the 2zz to our highly tuned 1zz.

now the process begins of making it more to our spec, mainly most of the interior will be coming out (similar to our other car) it will still have carpets and trim but no stereo, no soft top the center console will be swapping for a OEM one, roll hoops will be going etc some 15x8 all round probably rays, the outside of the car will pretty much be left untouched,

Wont be long mate, our original mr2 is currently undergoing a few little changes, its getting a new koyo rad and rear calipers for the new season but should be back on the road in a couple weeks.

I got them from VIP motorsport, https://www.vipmotorsport.co.uk/ As im sure your a wear, if you've been looking for a set of proper wheels (rays, Enkie etc) they are hard to get hold of, 6-8 months lead time, VIP Checked Enkie japan and there was 2 sets left, and a 2 weeks lead time for shipment.

The 2zz car got its new wheels and tyres yesterday, got them on the car, still needs the geo setting up to our track spec and some ride height adjustment along with some arch rolling but so far so good cant wait to get out in it.

We finally got the 2zz mr2 to a point where we are happy with it, still a lot to do on it but its 90% there now and got a test run out with the 1zz on the weekend out to our usual spot up ikn snowdonia and all is well...ready for ding day now.

4 hours driving max mate. Within reach of super-unleaded as mine drinks it.

i have done my favorite route i always take into wales some incredible roads that way, you would of driven some of it with me last time we did a ding day drive a couple years back. No Evo triangle anymore it is dead now, average speed cameras along the full length.

There is 3 shells all around Wexham, one near holt on the dual carriage way, another at the mold /wrexham turn off on the A483 and another as you exit the a483 and start towards the horse shoe pass.

should be about a 4 hour round trip not including stops etc

its a possibility but i have a track day at Anglesey 2 weeks later and the Gold Cup at Oulton Park 1 week before as well.

I was looking at the link and am I right its a session track day? I don't normally do session track days I always do open pit.

But we shall see August is a busy month for me.
